The iPhone 17 marks a significant update to Apple's standard flagship model, bringing several features previously exclusive to the Pro line to the base model. It was announced in September 2025 alongside the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the new ultra-thin iPhone Air.

🚀 Performance and Core Technology

The iPhone 17 is powered by the A19 chip, which is built on third-generation 3-nanometer technology. This chip delivers a substantial boost in performance and efficiency compared to its predecessor.

The design maintains an aluminium frame and a frosted glass back, but introduces notable display and durability enhancements.

·        Display Size and Technology: The screen size has increased to a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display (up from 6.1 inches), now matching the size of the Pro model. ·        Video Capabilities: It supports 4K at 60 fps Dolby Vision video recording, and can capture Spatial photos and videos for viewing on Apple Vision Pro. A new Dual Capture feature allows simultaneous recording with the front and rear cameras.

🔋 Battery and Charging

Improvements to the A19 chip's efficiency and a slight increase in battery capacity have led to better longevity.
